Hello! My name is Eileen Clugston, and I teach second grade. This is my twelfth year of teaching at St. Joseph’s, and I love being back at my alma mater. I grew up in this school and parish and value the sense of community and family I feel teaching here at St. Joe’s. I also went to Central Catholic High School, John Carroll University for my undergrad, and Walsh University for my Masters in Education. As you can see, I’ve been exposed to Catholic education all my life. The part I enjoy most about teaching second grade is helping the children prepare for their sacraments. It is a true blessing to witness the children’s joy and excitement when making their First Reconciliation and First Communion. My husband Kevin and I got married in August 2009. We recently had our first child, and his name is Nolan. I’ve always enjoyed working with children through my teaching career, but to be a parent and have my own child is truly a wonderful thing. We couldn’t be happier! In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, walking/hiking, and cheering on Notre Dame and the Cleveland Browns. |
