November 2011
Dear
Parents,
First, I would like to wish every family a
very happy and restful Thanksgiving. I
am looking forward to conferences on the 10th. I enjoy talking to you about your child’s
progress thus far.
This month we will be meeting Mr. Z with
Zipping Zippers, Mr. B with Beautiful Buttons and Mr. I with Impossible Inches.
In Math, we will be working on counting, identifying, and writing numbers 1-10. Thanksgiving will be our topic for Social
Studies.
I’m asking
all the children to “disguise a turkey” so it won’t get eaten on Thanksgiving.
Please find attached the turkey and some directions. I would like these turkeys
back as soon as possible so they can be put up on our class bulletin board. Please let your child do most of the work, but
you can help and just have fun with it.
We are working very hard on printing our
Letter People as we learn them, but each child could use some extra practice. I
am attaching an alphabet to show the way we print each letter, and I’m asking
you to help your child at home for about 5-10 minutes each night. Thank you!
Seesaw Book Club order will be due back
by Nov. 18th for anyone interested.
Be sure to look in your child’s folder
every day to see the daily work we do and any important “Mom” mail.
Report
cards will be coming home on Nov. 3rd in the Thursday folder. Please read them over carefully to see what
progress your child is making. If you have questions or do not understand
something, we can discuss it at conferences.
Thank you for all of your valuable support
and interest.
